Our mission is to provide a safe, kind, inclusive, and educational environment for all members of and visitors to our community.
We are committed to community collaboration and growth through promoting water safety, holistic fitness and wellness, and recreational enjoyment.
About Us
The Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center began as a student-driven initiative at Greenbrier East High School, inspired by a vision to create a high-quality health and wellness facility serving Greenbrier and surrounding counties. In a rural state where access to such amenities is limited, GVAC was designed to break down barriers to participation — whether financial, physical, or geographical.
We saw the need for a year-round wellness hub where everyone — regardless of age, background, or ability — could improve water safety, build community, support their physical and mental health, and enjoy recreation in a welcoming, high-quality space.
GVAC is a premier nonprofit wellness facility with competition, recreation, and therapy pools; a classroom, senior room, cardio & fitness space; a splash pad and outdoor terrace; and a deep commitment to water safety, inclusive access, and community connection.
